David has ALWAYS loved the Spot Books. When he was *little* (like maybe only a month or two) I wanted to read some classic Beatrix Potter books to him and he would squirm and fuss! As soon as I put that book down and started reading Spot he would sit quietly and look intently at the pictures. I guess he preferred the bold colors and simple plot line (“Ok, I totally understand that SPOT. LOVES. HIS MOMMY. I can relate.”) compared the pastel watercolors and slightly violet overtones of Ms.Potter. We also have: Spot Loves His Daddy; Grandma; Grandpa; First Thanksgiving; Where Is Spot; Spots First Easter and Spots First Words. ----------------------------------------------------------------------
